On the afternoon of October 3, 2022, Hội An City Women’s Union held an event to summarize the operation of the Green House model of 2022. Attending the program, there were Mr. Phan Lơn – Deputy Head of the City’s Civil Affairs Department, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, monk Liên, representative of Hội An Buddhist Church, representative of Hội An Environmental Club (S.E.A Club), and women members from 54 branches of the Union.
At the event Ms. Nguyễn Thị Anh Thơ reported on the operation of the Green House model in 2022. In recent years, women’s members have actively propagated plastic and health, campaigned to reduce plastic waste and collect low-value plastic waste locally. 975.5 kg of low value plastic was collected to be taken to the recycling facility.
Ms. Ngô Thị Tuyết Nhung, representative of Hội An City Women’s Union gave an encouraging speech to the women’s members. Attendees listened to the sharing about the operation of the Green House model, challenges and suggestions from the women members and volunteers of S.E.A Club.
At the event, GreenHub’s representative in Hội An Lê Thị Thảo Vy made an assessment about the program, and the representative of the Project Management Board awarded Certificates to collectives and individuals who have actively participated in the operation.
The activity is part of the project “Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution” (LSPP) sponsored by USAID under the program ” Vietnam Local Works for Environmental Health”, and implemented by GreenHub and three partners including ISPONRE, HUPH-VOHUN, and GIMASYS.
