Workshop to exchange experiences on environmental protection, solutions to mobilize resources for environmental protection in the locality

On April 15, the delegation from Da Nang included leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Education and Training, Sub-Department of Environmental Protection, representatives of district leaders and their partners – the  Center for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub), the Center for Environmental and Community Research (CECR), Live & Learn Environmental Education (Live&Learn) and the Global Program for Clean City, Blue Ocean (CCBO) – held a seminar to exchange and share experiences on environmental protection, solutions to mobilize resources for environmental protection in the locality.

Specifically, at the seminar, a representative of the Environmental Protection Agency of Da Nang City introduced the project “Building Da Nang – an environmental city” and shared the need to mobilize resources to support the project. Along with that, the workshop also reviewed the specific progress and implementation plan in the coming time of the projects and programs being implemented in Da Nang including:

  • Project “Join hands to protect water resources” (CECR)
  • Project “Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution” (GreenHub)
  • Program “Clean City – Blue Ocean” (CCBO)
  • Models of garbage classification in the community (Live&Learn)

The closing workshop, on behalf of Da Nang, expresses the intention of building an environmental city in the near future, as well as providing information on the progress, achievements, and future plans of the projects under CECR, GreenHub, CCBO, and Live&Learn, promising to contribute to the effectiveness of the project “Building Da Nang – an environmental city” in the future.


The activity is organized within the scope of the project “Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution” (LSPP) sponsored by USAID under the program “Vietnam Local Works for Environmental Health”, implemented by GreenHub and 03 partners (ISPONRE, HUPH-VOHUN, GIMASYS).
