Waste audit program of food street Tong Duy Tan – Hoan Kiem district

The waste audit program of Food Street Tong Duy Tan – Cam Chi Alley lasting 5 days (July 3 – July 7) successfully ended with the participation of nearly 30 volunteers from different high schools and universities in Hanoi.

The work requires high concentration and accuracy and the hot weather has made the audit much more difficult. However, with a sense of responsibility, the volunteers have completed the work and collected input waste generation data, which is important in designing interventions to build a model of a green food street.

We would like to send our deepest gratitude to our partners including Hoan Kiem District Youth Union, Keep Hanoi Clean, Hanoi Urban Environment Limited Company (URENCO) – Hoan Kiem branch for timely and close support in terms of personnel as well as facilities so that we can accomplish this task.

The activity is organized within the scope of the project “Local Solutions for Plastic Pollution” (LSPP) sponsored by USAID under the program “Vietnam Local Works for Environmental Health”, implemented by GreenHub and 03 partners (ISPONRE, HUPH-VOHUN, GIMASYS).
