LOOKING BACK AT “GREEN SCHOOL – GREEN SEA” – MORE THAN A CONTEST

The competition “Green School – Blue Sea” with a large scale, focusing on all high schools in Phu Yen province has officially closed and achieved extremely impressive results. GreenHub cooperates with DOW Vietnam Company and Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province to create the first worthwhile playground about the global issue of “Reducing plastic waste” for every student in Tuy Hoa city.

Thereby, talented young people have the opportunity to express themselves, freely create countless unique ideas and convey meaningful messages about the environment.

The contest attracted and received wide participation from young people, the media articles about this activity posted on the GreenHub Facebook page had reached more than 113,000 Facebook users.

Final results:

  • First prize: Luong Van Chanh High School Team
  • Second Prize: Team S.O.F – Students from Nguyen Van Linh High School and Le Trung Kien High School
  • Third prize: Green Journey team represents Green Journey Phu Yen

Consolation prize: Team EcoLife – Grade 12C2, Nguyen Van Linh High School and La Hoang Nhat Y – Student from Phu Yen Ethnic Minority Boarding School

Besides, a very important note throughout the competition that GreenHub wants to emphasize is: Using alternative products is a good solution, but it’s just Temporary, not absolutely perfect solution. What we need to do is minimize disposable plastic items and use substitute products in a rational, selective and controlled way. At the same time, how to share information and replicate initiatives in the community is a question worth considering.
