GreenHub and Phenikaa Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Zero Waste Practices at The University

On January 4, 2023, the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between Phenikaa University and GreenHub – Center for Green Development was officially held with the participation of representatives of both sides and Phenikaa students. This event marks Phenikaa University’s efforts and commitment to the goal of building a zero-waste school.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoa – Director of GreenHub, co-founder of ZHub, said that Phenikaa has good infrastructure and human resources, creating favorable conditions for cooperation between the two sides. In the coming time, GreenHub will continue to promote the formation of a zero-waste university, and help students practice zero-waste.

Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Phu Khanh, Deputy General Director, Vice Rector of Phenikaaa University, affirmed the importance of sustainable development. He said that the University is always interested in the treatment and recycling of waste and wastewater within the campus as well as raising students’ awareness of environmental protection.

A seminar to discuss zero-waste models at higher education institutions and urgent environmental issues took place within the framework of the Signing Ceremony to help students find more creative solutions to protect the university environment. The University hopes that the two sides will promote cooperation to organize many activities and sharing sessions to help its students raise awareness about environmental issues.
