As an environmental organization, GreenHub also focuses on gender while considering all aspects of the issue. The collection and recycling of plastics are in the hands of the informal waste collectors. In which, women are the core force, accounting for more than 98% of the informal sector. However, their role has not been recognized as well as the social interest in this group of women is still limited. The project is expected to help enhance the role and contribution of women in waste management in mainstream documents. They also have increased capacity and awareness of occupational health and safety protection in specific working conditions. These contribute to increasing the amount of waste collected and recycled and contribute to the development of the current collection and recycling chain.
