Following the first steps of efforts to support women who work as informal recyclable waste collectors in Phú Yên province, GreenHub and Phú Yên Women’s Union continued to organize training sessions on plastic waste and zero-waste practice for this group of women.
The knowledge-raising activity aims to prepare the foundation for the implementation of long-term and sustainable solutions to help improve the work and lives of women who are quietly contributing to efforts to reduce local plastic waste.
Through the training program, the project found eight representatives of the women informal waste workers to participate in the capacity building program with the opportunity to study and exchange experiences at Hồ Chí Minh City.
The activity is part of the project “C36 – Capacity Building for Women Informal Waste Workers”, sponsored by Australian Volunteers International (AVI), and jointly implemented by GreenHub and the Women’s Union of Phú Yên province.
